Welcome to the Junior League of Kingsport

The Junior League of Kingsport is made up of over 350 women dedicated to building a better community.  Our membership consists of a wide range of backgrounds, interests, and skills. The common thread for these women is the Junior League mission to promote voluntarism, develop the potential of women, and improve our community.

The Kingsport chapter of the Junior League became affiliated with the Association of Junior Leagues in 1958.  Influential women, such as Eleanor Roosevelt, played an important role as a member of the Junior League in the early years. Many other well-known community leaders have been members of the Junior League including the current First Lady, Laura Bush, Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, Shirley Temple-Black, Betty Ford, and Katherine Hepburn. Internationally, the Association of Junior Leagues International has nearly 300 Leagues in four countries with more than 200,000 members.

Women of Junior League

The Junior League of Kingsport serves hundreds of area families by developing and supporting responsive, effective programs that empower women to make a difference in the lives of those around them. League members work diligently to serve the physical, intellectual, emotional and social growth needs of women and children by volunteering time, building local partnerships, and raising funds.
